Captain Gordon Bennett is a lifelong Southwest Florida local who brings decades of experience and a strong connection to the waters of Bokeelia and Pine Island Sound. His love for fishing began at an early age, spending weekends with his grandfather learning the basics and developing a deep respect for the sport. By the time he was in middle school, he had already saved up for his first boat—a 10-foot Jon boat—which opened the door to exploring nearby lakes and coastal waters. These early days shaped his understanding of the local fishery and laid the foundation for his career as a professional fishing guide.

Captain Gordon’s approach is rooted in patience, knowledge, and a genuine love for helping others enjoy their time on the water. He’s especially passionate about working with families and young anglers, making sure every guest feels welcome and involved. As a versatile angler, Captain Gordon employs several proven fishing methods to match the conditions and target species. He’s skilled in spinning, jigging, popping, and bottom fishing techniques, and he adjusts each method based on the day’s activity and what works best for his guests. Captain Gordon runs his charters aboard a 25-foot Key West center console bay boat, built in 2019. Powered by a 300HP Evinrude engine, the boat cruises comfortably and efficiently, with a top speed of 35 knots. It’s well-suited for both shallow backwaters and open nearshore areas, giving guests access to a wide range of fishing grounds. With space for up to four passengers, this vessel is perfect for small groups or families who want a comfortable and focused fishing experience.
